Borgo dei Lecci Puglia is set within a vast estate, immersed in the lush greenery of the forest and fully accessible in complete safety. In addition to the amenities offered by our property, you can explore the surrounding areas simply by wandering through glimpses of history and pristine nature.
Our property is more than just a Bed & Breakfast: our borgo is a melting pot of elegance, style, and sophistication. It is designed to offer moments of relaxation and pleasure through sensory experiences deeply rooted in the traditions of this wonderful land.
A long avenue shaded by centuries-old trees and lined with fragrant hedges hides "Villa Cofano," on Viale del Leccio in the heart of the Selva di Fasano. A unique place, located in Puglia, that tells stories of traditions and sensory experiences.
The original nucleus of the property, dating back to the late 1800s and consisting of six trulli, was incorporated into this stunning villa, in a delicate shade of light blue, only at the beginning of the 1900s.
Doric-style columns lead into a large portico and support a balcony with a stone balustrade overlooking the entrances of the two corner towers.
Professor Leonardo De Mola, the illustrious poet and writer, and brother-in-law of Professor Leonardo Cofano—the villa's former owner—exclaimed: "Amongst lovely flowers and green branches I find my home, I nourish myself with scents and hope..." These verses expertly described the beauty of the lush park surrounding the villa.
The villa subsequently passed into the hands of the grandchildren of the Cofano family, Messrs. De Mola, Cuccillato, and Lopriore. Today, the property has been acquired by the Calabrese family, who have transformed it into a luxury hotel, preserving the majestic villa's authenticity.
Thus, today, “Borgo Dei Lecci Puglia” comes to life.
Every corner of our village is a work of art, the result of a masterful renovation of the historic villa.
"Borgo dei Lecci Puglia" is nestled in a natural setting and boasts a large outdoor space within the property. The property also features a well-kept Italian-style garden, shaded by towering holm oaks, which extends throughout the historic villa.
The structure also has two separate entrances, one of which directly connects to the secure internal parking lot.
